K-Kids Club Contest Submittal

An Entry by Bellevue Elementary School

Bellevue Elementary School K-Kids recently submitted an entry for the K-Kids Scrapbook contest. This excellent submittal was supervised by Faculty Advisor, Monica Evan, and Kiwanis Advisor, Maureen Kowker, from the Sarpy County Area Kiwanis Club. 

They also submitted an outstanding candidate for the Ki Foundation Leadership Award Contest.

Young leaders helping others: 
In K-Kids clubs worldwide, more than 36,000 children are learning leadership through service. They're taking on the responsibility of running a K-Kids club as they plan and participate in community service projects. They assist the elderly with chores or organize community food drives.They serve their schools, raising funds for sports equipment and extracurricular activities. 

What is Bring Up Grades? 

Bring Up Grades or BUG is a program designed to provide recognition to students who raise their grades into an acceptable range and maintain or continue to raise them from one grading period to the next. Recognition includes being placed on the school’s BUG Honor Roll; a pizza, ice cream or other food-themed party; and presentation of certificates and buttons.
